We live on the Internet. But sometimes we gather with other repair professionals and enthusiasts offline. Below is a schedule of events we're participating in this year—we'd love to meet you there!
Repair is a community built on collaboration and know-how. If you're not constantly problem-solving, you're probably failing. This is why so many in the repair community rely on insights from their peers and mentors to learn, grow, and survive. For that same reason, we decided to launch the iFixit Unconference: to facilitate discussion amongst the repair community.
At an unconference, no topics have been predetermined, no keynote speakers have been invited, no panels have been arranged. Instead, the event lives and dies by the participation of the attendees. You decide what topics will be discussed and you convene the individual breakout sessions. In other words, an unconference has no agenda until the participants create it. The premise behind this is that the sum of the expertise of the people in the audience is greater than the sum of the expertise of the people on stage. There are only two rules:
• Nobody is giving a presentation – unconferences are all about conversations;
• If a session doesn’t inspire attendees and they are not contributing, they should get up and find a different one. (It’s called the Law of Two Feet.)
Unconferences are about empowering attendees to share their expertise. They give participants the opportunity to have an unfiltered exchange of innovative ideas.

We're building a better conference—one that brings together all aspects of electronics repair, reuse, refurbishing, and recycling. Diversify and future proof your business; network with future business partners; and learn new repair techniques and business tactics.
The Electronics Reuse Conference isn't some massive, impersonal event where upsellers pressure you to partner with cell phone carriers or sell iPhone charms and we're not beholden to anti-repair interests or corporate sponsorships. It's an intensive, exclusive gathering of industry leaders—so we're limiting attendance to 500 of the industry's top techs.
Lively panel discussions and debates spill over into social events like "Repair After Dark". And when the time comes to stop talking shop, New Orleans' historic French Quarter and Bourbon Street is just a short walk away. As in years past, we expect seats to fill up fast, so we're giving early birds the opportunity to save $100 on the registration if they book before August 31.
